Hailing from Haiku, Tadashi Thomas is an up-and-coming jazz trumpeter, composer and arranger on the New York City music scene. A recent graduate of SUNY Purchase, Tadashi refined his craft under the mentorship of legendary trumpet virtuosos Jon Faddis and Ingrid Jensen.

Ashton Yarbrough

A Maui resident, bass player Ashton Yarbrough started as a classical bassist in an orchestra but has played all kinds of music including jazz, musical theatre, gospel, funk, rock and mariachi. He also works as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Jeff Hellmer

Jeff Hellmer, jazz pianist and educator, has enjoyed a long and vibrant career. Twice named a finalist in the Great American Jazz Piano Competition, he has performed throughout the United States as well as in Europe and the Far East. His recording, Peak Moments, was declared an “exciting addition to the modern jazz piano catalog” by the All Music Guide. He has been a soloist and guest conductor with the Dallas Wind Symphony eight times, in repertoire ranging from Stravinsky to Bill Evans.
