Hi C’s Dixieland Band

It’s time to slide on down to Nawlins with Maui’s own HiC’s Dixieland Band!
Get a dose of some of the classics that will have you tapping your feet clapping your hands and maybe even singing along with a tune or two and a promise from the drummer not to play too much cowbell. The banjo will be strumming the trumpet and clarinet belting out some familiar melodies and of course the tuba will be holding down the bottom end.
The HiC’s are bringing back dixie music to Maui just in time for Mardis Gras and all year round!

Paul January – Trumpet
Michael Guzalek – Clarinet
Jimmy C – Drums
Loren Tilley – Banjo
Colton Rafanan – Tuba

Swing Star

Swing Star plays Gypsy Jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt’s Hot Club of France.

This musical style includes swinging jazz, Waltz, passionate Ballads, Bossa Nova and Waltz, as well as the sound of European Gypsies.

The group of guys; Steve Elliott on guitar, Loren Tilley on guitar, and Michael Guzalak on clarinet and sax, got together on Maui in early 2018.

Steve is the founder and instigator of the group, so you can blame him. His burning passion for Gypsy Jazz drew in Loren next, and Michael soon joined in to form Swing Star.

All the members are multi-instrumentalists and over the years have played in many different bands and styles of music, from Accordion to Zydeco.
